Skype a Scientist

Skype a Scientist has a database of thousands of scientists and helps them connect with classrooms, families, libraries, scout troops, and more all over the globe! They give students the opportunity to get to know a real scientist and get the answers to their questions straight from the source.

As a palaeontologist and archaeologist, I have the unique privilage that many classes around the world have a huge amount of questions about dinosaurs, fossils, and the ancient world! Through this incredible program, I’ve talked to school groups from Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, England, and Singapore.

Topics range from dinosaurs, fossils, megafauna, and palaeontology fieldwork, to how we learn about the past, the Ancient Egyptians, careers in museums, and more!

I design a custom presentation for each school, based around questions sent in by the students. We then spend time learning about their topic, including playing interactive games, and finish with a Q & A where the students can have all of their questions answered!

You can find me listed on the Scientist page here. These sessions are free to book.
