STEM Equity Alliance - Women in STEM Panel

Organised by the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the STEM Equity Alliance at Macquarie University, this Women in STEM Careers Evening allowed current university students studying STEM to hear from a panel of women on our experiences of how we have navigated our careers in largely male dominated fields. We discussed how to seek out mentors and networks, how we can best advocate for ourselves, and what challenges we were able to overcome in our careers.

This panel was made up of myself, representing Superstars of STEM/Science and Technology Australia, Amanda Morey (Head of Sales Operations at Nokia), Lauren Gaudion (Structural Engineer, Northrop Consulting Engineers/Young Engineers Australia), and Mimi Tha (Associate Project Manager at Resmed).
