Superstars of STEM Panel - Girls to Graduates

A bio-archeologist, nanotechnologist, palaeontologist and wildlife scientist walk into a room…

We were able to come together as representatives of Science and Technology’s Superstars of STEM program to speak for the Girls to Graduates: Engaging and Empowering Women to Succeed in STEM. This is a very special program that has been instrumental in connecting girls directly with women in science and options to choose from prior to leaving school.

Our panel included:

🦖 Sally Hurst is an Australian palaeontologist. She digs up dinosaurs around the world and is a passionate science communicator. Sally is helping us learn more about what we dig up in Australia.

⌚️☀️ Prof Noushin Nasiri is a nanotechnologist. She’s merging tech with sun safety, helping us monitor our sun exposure. Noushin is one of the coolest people I know and inspires us all to stay curious.

🐫 Prof Ronika Power or I like to call her- Prof Powers (now that’s a name!), is a bio-archeologist- she studies dead people to understand why they may have passed and the world they once represented. Ronika is a rare find and a gift to our next generations.

Macquarie University- talk about a fabulous group of humans!
